Association of Medical Professionals with Hearing Loss (AMPHL)
An international organization of Deaf and Hard of Hearing health professionals. Provides assistance and advocacy for people with hearing loss who wish to enter the medical field.
Hard of Hearing Advocates (HOHA)
The goal of Hard of Hearing Advocates (HOHA) is to help hard of hearing (HOH) people by creating and implementing programs and solutions where HOH people have undue problems. We are a non–profit foundation run by volunteers and assisting peers. We seek the advice of industry and others, but to avoid concerns of bias, our functional body is HOH people.

Department of Research at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf
The Department of Research at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf conducts applied research that improves teaching and learning processes, advances study of technology and application of communication strategies, and examines occupational and community experiences of deaf society.
Gallaudet Research Institute
The GRI is internationally recognized for its leadership in deafness–related research. GRI researchers gather and analyze data concerning the demographic and academic characteristics of deaf and hard of hearing populations, primarily to provide information needed by educators in the field.

Captioned Media Program (CMP)
The CMP provides a free–loan media program. There are no rental, registration, or postage fees. Several hundred titles are also streamed on the CMP web site. An additional service is a clearinghouse of information and materials on the subject of captioning. These resources are available in print or online. The clearinghouse also maintains a database of captioned media available for purchase.
Deaf C.A.N.!
A private non–profit organization serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities in southeastern Michigan that offers a variety of services including: Interpreter Referral, Video Relay System, Deaf Youth Leadership Training Program, sign language classes, sensitivity training for law enforcement, parenting classes, the Deaf AIDS Program, Hard of Hearing Support Services, and other programs and workshops.

Michigan Division on Deaf and Hard of Hearing
This state office concentrates on helping improve the lives of Michigan’s 1 million Deaf and Hard of Hearing citizens. It receives input from its 13–member citizens Advisory Council appointed by the Governor. National Fraternal Society of the Deaf (NFSD)
The NSFD is the only life insurance/social service organization in the world run exclusively by deaf and hard of hearing people for deaf and hard of hearing people for deaf and hard of hearing and their families. The NFSD was founded in 1901 by a group of young deaf adults at the Michigan School for the Deaf in Flint, MI.
